Holy Family Prayer Group

Picture
Like many Catholic churches, St. Mary of the Springs has a Charismatic presence in the parish.  One group is called "The Holy Family Prayer Group" and they are here to serve, pray and minister.  The Holy Family Prayer group meets for prayer and praise every other Tuesday in the church at 6:30 PM.

After every weekend Mass at St. Mary's, the Holy Family Prayer Group is available for those who need special personal prayer.

This group is headed up by R.J. and Ruth Sliger. Those with prayer needs are encouraged to come to the front of the church and spirit-baptized believers will pray personally for you!

Children of God

The Children of God Prayer Group's main purpose is to praise and worship Jesus and through the power of the Holy Spirit to grow as disciples using the charisms as the Lord leads.

A cooperative effort of St. Mary's and St. John's, the Children of God group meets every Thursday at the cancer center at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in the Daffodil Room at 10:30 AM.

Christy Miller is the group's coordinator.

As of 2003, the Catholic Charismatic Renewal exists in over 230 countries in the world, with over 119 million members. Participants in the Renewal also cooperate with non-Catholic Christians and other Catholics in providing a common witness for evangelization, as encouraged by the Catholic Church.
